Welcome to Country Road Golden Retrievers! We are a family-run, small boutique breeder based in Phoenix, Arizona.

All of our dogs are raised in our loving home environment and are health tested to ensure strong, happy puppies. We focus on quality, temperament, and lifelong companions rather than quantity, giving each puppy the love and attention they deserve. Several of our goldens go on to therapy or service work while others become companions, facility dogs, or beloved family mem

 

Health & Certifications

 

We prioritize health above all. All our Goldens and the sires we select complete all health certifications recommended for Golden Retrievers by the AKC and OFA.

Our dogs receive:

• OFA certification for hips and elbows

• Heart clearance performed by a cardiologist

• Annual eye exams performed by a specialist

• DNA genetic testing for 256+ diseases

We also work towards earning titles that reflect temperament, obedience, and overall fitness, including:

• Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

• FIT Dog

• AKC Puppy STAR

 

Ongoing Puppy Support/Training

Our local families receive:

• Six weeks of complimentary puppy training/socialization classes with AKC Certified Trainer. 

• Unlimited lifetime breeder support and guidance.

• The opportunity to test for the AKC Puppy STAR title at the end of classes.

These complimentary classes are a favorite among our owners because they provide a safe, structured environment to ask questions, receive guidance, and learn alongside an AKC professional dog trainer. Owners receive foundational obedience instruction, and ongoing support during those important early months.

 

Most importantly, the puppies benefit from critical early socialization with their littermates while they are not yet fully vaccinated and unable to safely explore the outside world. This gives them a secure setting to build confidence, practice appropriate play, and develop essential skills.

Enrichment Programs/Curricula

We use proven, structured programs focused on early development, socialization, and enrichment to give our puppies the very best start in life including:

• Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

• Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

• Puppy Brain Development 

• Puppy Culture
